Owner is selling his Very Special Benedetto Guitar,
Robert Benedetto is widely acknowledged as today’s foremost maker of archtop guitars. Over a prolific four-decade career, he has personally handcrafted nearly 800 instruments, including 500 archtops.
This Custom Benedetto was made for Bob Laughlin in 1990. The neck is a copy of another benedetto made for Mike Lacey at the time. The guitar is mostly a Fratello with a couple of new Yorker features, if memory serves. The guitar is pretty much in excellent condition with a couple of small scratches on the top.
