Still a few things Left

We still have a few FINE guitars . They need a HOME!

And….We still have some BBand pick ups, some displays and some Cases.

Use the from on this page to contact us and come on over to see what we have.

Also, anyone needing a fan or space heater just make arrangements to come and get one. There are some book racks and display items we’d love to get rid of, too.

The building is for LEASE. It would be a great space for a business needing a large hydraulic lift to get heavy things out of the basement!

It is a great rehearsal space for Bob’s Basement Band!

Store Open Sat from 12-3:00PM

A few really good buys left-good time to get strings, books, and an amp. Cases,Gig bags, one Uke,one banjo and 7 guitars!

TELLING IT LIKE IT IS

For those of our great customers who want one last peek, we will be here Friday and Saturday from 12:00 until 4:00 p.m.  We have a couple of guitars left and some fixtures, posters and memorabilia.  After that it will be appointments only via the web site.

Since we are going to leave the site up for a while and I have nothing else to do, I am going to get political on this blog.  A customer asked me during the last presidential election why musicians and songwriters tend to be more liberal than some others.  My answer was that songwriters, especially, tend to be more empathetic to other people and people who are able to see others as the same as themselves tend to be more or less liberal.  I am a very proud liberal Democrat and it is not because I believe that the government owes everyone a handout, but because I believe that government’s responsibility is to the people, because business and corporations can take care of themselves.  (Although from all the whining I hear from the right wingers you’d think that corporations and businesses were languishing at the bottom rungs of society.  Not awash with more money in the bank than ever in our history.)

THANKS FOR 22 GREAT YEARS

The finality of events is finally catching up to me, and to the rest of us here at Acoustic Music Revival.  The room is getting bigger, as Mike McGuffey said.  We still have a some pretty cool deals left but stuff has been selling at a pretty good pace.

There are a lot of people out there to whom we owe great thanks, way too many to list here.  I will give special mention to two of ours who are no longer with us: Terry Dalton was my first employee and I will always hold him close to my heart for all the years of friendship and laughter that we shared, and Mike Crowley, teacher, producer, and friend.  Bob Turner also gets a special mention, luckily he is still around.  Bob’s remarkable talent and his loyalty for many years have been inspirational.  Thanks to Mike, Jon, Terry, Skip, Cary, Mel, Roger, Jonathan, John, Mark, Roy, Pat, Keith, Susan and Chris.  And special thanks to the many other musicians who have played here over the years.

WORKSHOP NEWS

WOW!!! What picking we just heard. Todd Hallawell and Robin Kessinger play together like they were born to. Sometimes it’s hard to meld the styles of flatpicking and fingerpicking together, but these two men become one.

Unfortunately both guys are pretty weary from the road the last 3 weeks and we did not get enough pre-sales on the workshop so we have canceled it. We are sorry to disappoint anyone who was looking forward to it.

Stay tuned.

Todd Hallawell and Robin Kessinger

These two Pros have both won contests all over the US including at Winfield.

We’re hosting a Concert and Workshop with the here at the store  the first weekend in Aug.

ENGLEWOOD EATS AND BEATS

Saturday, June 25th, behind the store in the parking lot we will be participating in a day long music, beer and food festival.  Englewood Eats and Beats!  The headliners on the main stage will include the Samples and Nathaniel Rateliff, the small tnent stage will include Runaway Express, Hey Johnny!, and Bob’s Basement Band (US Yeah).  The event is free admission and we expect to have a rousing good time.  Hope to see all our friends and neighbors there.

For any one who gets overheated outside, inside the store will be as COOL as ever!
