Mostly swing, with some light jazz ballads and a touch of blues, the repertoire of the Little Big Band spans the spectrum of American music.
The gravelly voice of male singer and guitarist Bob Laughlin combines with the sweet harmonies of Peggy Dennis and Shawn Winchester and brings to mind the idea of Louis Armstrong with the Andrew Sisters, or more currently Tom Waites with the Hot Licks.
The rhythm section consists of an upright bass, Robb Heskett on the cocktail drum set, and Laughlin on guitar, while great sax and flute solos are added in all the right spots by Jeff Ingram.
