Seagull Guitars

When we opened our shop in May of 1989 we stocked up with plenty of Seagull guitars. We wanted a line of good quality guitars that were priced in a range that most people could afford. Seagull has been that and more for the last 15 years. Hand-crafted in Quebec; using wood from Canadian forests, as well as imported mahogany and rosewood, these fine instruments have been consistently our best seller for years. I have looked at other lines of guitars for something that may match their value, but I honestly haven't found anything I like better. With Seagull, Simon and Patrick, Art & Luthier, La Patrie, and Godin we have found a family of guitars that we can honestly say keeps our tradition of matching people with the value in an instrument that they seek.

In addition to the new compound-curve bracing system, the M6 Cedar receives a significant update this year in the form of our new gloss-top finish. The gloss-top features a genuine lacquer finish and it's about the same thickness as our semi-gloss treatment but buffed to a high luster. This is truly a great breakthrough in that the guitar has the added responsiveness provided by an extra light finish along with the great looks of high gloss.

M Series - M6 Gloss

The M6 Gloss features a high gloss lacquer finish. This finish provides excellent protection but at the same time is extremely light and elastic. This is a crucial point in both the sound of the guitar and its ability to age - a thick finish muffles a guitar's vibration. The M Series guitars are available with the LR Baggs Element transducer/pre-amp.
